Funding for your website in Styria

Draft. This page has not been editorially reviewed yet. The legal review is still pending.

You have a small business in Styria and need a new website? There are two programmes here that expressly mention a website (checked on 14 October 2026). The SFG’s Lebens!Nah funds local suppliers (Nahversorger) that bill more than half of their services to private customers, for example micro-businesses in retail, crafts and services. The digitalisation module brings 30 per cent basic funding, at most €2,500, for a project volume from €3,000. Among other things, it funds the first creation or substantial adaptation of a website or online shop. You must apply before the project starts. The Landesinnung (state guild) for foot care, cosmetics and massage of WKO Styria funds its members with one third of the costs, at most €1,000, from €2,000 excl. VAT. The 2026 pot is limited to €20,000 and is allocated in order of receipt. Below you will find both programmes with their conditions and answers to the most common questions.

How Weblux does it

For Styrian businesses, we issue an offer with a clear description of services that you can attach to your application. Check beforehand whether a programme requires the work to be done by a Styrian company. Whether funding is granted is decided by the SFG or the Landesinnung.

Frequently asked questions

Does my business count as a local supplier for Lebens!Nah?

According to the SFG, it is about businesses that offer goods or services for everyday needs and bill more than 50 per cent to private customers. Funding goes to micro-enterprises in retail, crafts, trade and services, and to small bakeries, butchers, pastry shops and full-range grocers. Tourism, hospitality, agriculture and pure online retailers are excluded.

Do I have to apply before I order?

With Lebens!Nah, yes. The SFG states that the funding application must be submitted before the project starts and that only costs after the application is received are eligible. For the Landesinnung funding, the description does not mention such a rule; ask them before ordering to be sure.

What should I watch out for with the funding from the Landesinnung for foot care, cosmetics and massage?

It funds the first creation or substantial adaptation of a website or online shop with one third of the costs, at most €1,000, from €2,000 excl. VAT. The work must be done by a Styrian company. The invoice and proof of payment must be submitted. The €20,000 pot for 2026 is allocated in order of receipt.

Are design changes to an existing website funded?

No. With the Landesinnung, ongoing changes such as a new design or swapping photos are excluded. Lebens!Nah funds the first creation or a substantial adaptation. What counts as substantial is decided by the funding body. Clarify this with the SFG or the Landesinnung before you order, so you are not left with the costs.
